1. Guest Teacher, USA Champion Level Dancer Erica Berg Teaches in Twickenham Tomorrow, Wednesday 2 May!
For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting Erica yet, this is an opportunity not to be missed! Erica is a national-level West Coast Swing dancer, competitor, instructor, and judge. From 2003-2010, she enjoyed a successful partnership in the West Coast Swing Classic division with Jason Barnes, in addition to achieving success in numerous Strictly Swing and Jack & Jill contests. As of late she has taken a hiatus from routine competition to complete her undergraduate degrees in International Business and Economics, and progress within her corporate career in the wireless industry. She continues to travel nationally and overseas, teaching workshop weekends and judging competitions at national swing dance events.
Some of Erica’s accomplishments include: U.S Open Champion in the Team division; Repeat Invitational Jack n’ Jill invitee at Capital Swing Dance and Phoenix 4th of July conventions; All-star Jack n’ Jill champion at the Phoenix 4th of July convention, Swingtime in the Rockies, and Boogie by the Bay conventions.

4. Monday Night Twickenham Class Update!
Mondays have been going from strength to strength, due greatly to the dedication of our resident teachers Peter & Michelle. Despite their leaving, we have decided to continue with this night under the new format of weekly guest teachers, supported by our newest members of our teaching team, Richard James and Filipe de Barros who will continue to cover the FUNdamentals review class each week. About Lemington And His “Dance From Within” Classes:
“Dance From Within” – Learn and apply dance techniques to help you know your body, feel and look better on the dance floor. All within the context of West Coast Swing!
Lemington Ridley has been dancing and performing since the age of 10. Beginning at Princeton Ballet and moving to New York City at 19 to study, he trained at Alvin Ailey. After performing in the ballet, jazz, and the theatrical world, he turned to Ballroom and Latin. Teaching at Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire Studios and being coached by the top coaches in the Ballroom and Latin world, he has been teaching and coaching ever since.
A dance champion, as 2 time US and World Same-Sex Latin champion, Lemington has toured around the world as a performer, dancing Latin, theatrical arts, hustle, argentine tango, and ballroom. Along the road he has been exposed and drawn to West Coast Swing and is now building up his portfolio as an extremely competent and imaginative WCS dancer and teacher.
Drawing on all of his experience in dance as well as in Yoga and Reiki, he has developed a passionate style of teaching that focuses on dance conditioning. Using movement to connect to your inner self. His skill is in helping people to understand their bodies and the movement and energy that helps them become more dynamic dancers.
Lemington is a welcome new addition that is sure to bring a new and unique perspective to our already established West Coast Swing UK team!
