Not a Halloween Freestyle at Boughton October 14th
Your chance to come and join us for an evening of dancing fun. I’m sure that even if we say no fancy dress a few zombies, vampires and ghouls will put in an appearance, only £8.00 entry, free parking and full bar.
Introduction to Expressive Modern Jive workshop October 15th (15:00-18:00)
Hardres Court Road, Lower Hardres, Canterbury CT4 5NP
Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postpone this workshop. However we have managed to secure Lower Hardes village Hall which I’m sure many of you will know for its lovely dance floor and ample parking.
This workshop is full of tips and techniques that will enable any intermediate Modern Jive dancer to adapt their style to look good with slower tempo tracks or where the tempo changes during a track. We will explore musicality as well as how to improve styling for both leads and follows.
Participants will learn how to adapt their modern jive moves for slower tempo music and to dance in a more expressive manner.
Duration 3 hours. Cost £20 single, £30 booked as a couple. Open to all intermediate Modern Jive dancers.
This workshop is strictly pre-book only.
The village hall is situated just off the B2068 (Canterbury to Hythe Road) in the hamlet known as Street End, Lower Hardres, Canterbury
October 29th is the date of our next Tea dance at Boughton.
We will be playing a mix of Jive, Ballroom and Latin tracks for you to dance to. These events are a really laid back way to socialise and practice your ballroom or jive routines in a lovely non-judgmental atmosphere
Joan will be teaching a stroll routine. This month our guest teacher will be Kay who will be running through a half hour refresher session on the Mambo.
No Prebooking just grab your dance shoes and come and join us for only £5.00 for an afternoons relaxation 2:30 -5:30. Free cake, biscuits, coffee and tea.

Fun class suitable for beginners & aspiring vampires, then freestyle dancing until 11:00 pm. Fancy dress optional. So come and join us for a great night out that you don't have to die for.
HS&E disclaimer, the warm blood mentioned is probably going to be a rather nice Shiraz but could be a Merlot.
