Clifton LeRoc is the longest running modern jive class in the South West, running for over 20 years. The classes are held on Monday nights at The Bristol Folk House on Park Street in Bristol. We also run monthly dance nights at the Filton Comunity Centre in Bristol.
Clifton LeRoc are the organisers of the infamous LeRoc Ball which is held at The Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare at the start of December. This ball is the biggest event of the year in the area and has been running since 1990. This year is the 21st ball.
John Eastman and Jacquie Dunn are the chief instructors for Clifton LeRoc.
John is an examiner in LeRoc for the UKA and is a founding member and former chairman of The LeRoc Modern Jive Federation. He is also the author of the instructional booklet in the 'Start to Dance-Modern Jive' CD and the author of the instruction manual for the federation. Jacquie is also a highly qualified teacher and is a full member of the UKA and LeRoc Federation.
Clifton LeRoc also teach the ever popular Bristol University LeRoc club.

The Ski & Rock Co, Dance Action Holidays, have organised activity and dance holidays for over 14 years. Jive Salsa Cha Cha West Coast Swing & Tango.
Dance Holidays with, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Watersports, Skiing, Mountain Biking, Tennis, Rafting, Climbing, Walking, Horse Riding & more!
They provide holidays with a choice of professionally run activities and organised daytime and evening dancing. They aim to provide everything on your doorstep.
Dance lessons are run on a workshop style, teaching you style points and techniques, including some new interesting moves.
Beginners are looked after, with confidence building workshops and including some easy moves.
It is based in Cheshire. Ski and Rock is a partner to Newqay Jive, Cornwall and Didsbury Salsa, Manchester. Ski and Rock, Newquay Jive and Didsbury Salsa welcome and support all other dance and associated organisations, including helping to promote other events.
Didsbury Salsa dance on Mondays at the Slug & Lettuce, Didsbury.
Newqay Jive, dance on Thursdays at Indian Queens working men’s club and Monday at Wadebridge town hall. They have monthly Weekend hops and tea dances. Occasionally they have guest instructors from other dance organisations. They instruct and demonstrate for Plymouth Jive on Tuesdays.
The Ski and Rock team dance and socialize all around Manchester and Cheshire. Regular venues are Monday Le Swing Prestwich, Monday Didsbury Salsa or Salsa La Tasca, Wilmslow, Tuesday Carry on Tango Sale, Wednesday Blitz Stockport Town Hall, Thursday Cheshire Tango Wilmslow, Sunday Salsa & Tango La Tasca Manchester.
They are always very helpful and pass on useful information about dance related topics.

Mikey has over 23 years professional experience throughout the UK, teaching at his own clubs, guest teaching for other dance companies everywhere from the tip of Cornwall to the heart of Scotland, and featuring on the bill at National Jive Weekend events for organisers such as Jive Addiction, Jivetime, Party Weekender and Holiday Rock.
His reputation has also led to him teaching overseas both for UK jive holiday groups and for local organisers.
Whilst he is renowned nationally for his cheeky humour and laid-back teaching style, at the Club level dancers know him as someone passionately committed to helping them reach their dancing goals, who always has time to break down the technicalities of a move for beginners or advanced dancers alike, or to challenge students to extend their musicality and interpretation.
His professionalism and dedication ensures that all newcomers quickly progress and soon become accomplished dancers - all whilst having a great night out!
Mikey’s personal collection of music built up over his teaching years offers something to cater for all tastes from the 1940’s right up to modern day pop music. You will find a variety of different rhythms available, some of which will only be heard at Dance Dedication venues and which will enable dancers to express their own personal interpretation of the music to suit their individual style. After all modern jive is not a regimented form of dance and there is no right or wrong way of jiving.
Mikey’s key aim is that dancers relax, have fun, meet new people and are offered a challenge to improve their dancing whilst enjoying a great night out. Why not come along one evening and see for yourself!

HOTSHOTS Dance Le Roc, was started around eight years ago.
Running weekly classes at The Phoenix (William Parker Arts Complex) and often have two weekend dances booked a month at different venues. Sunday dances afternoons should re-start in the autumn.
Teaching on a professional basis and make learning of this great dance easy and Fun. Jango is a fusion of Tango and Jive. It is inspired by the freedom of modern-jive with the footwork and connection of tango. There are classes, workshops and a DVD available in the style, as well as hundreds of dancers around the country that have been inspired by this fusion. Graham LeClerc runs Brighton-based dance classes to suit all levels of experience.
LeRoc UK run weekly classes in Bristol (Monday nights)

Planetleroc Wales Modern Jive is run by Jax Robins & Mark Wilson. Classes are evey Tuesday evening at The Earl Haig (British Legion,) Club ,Whitchurch Cardiff.
